HOLSTER STRAP BOOTS
These are a pair of boots that are not meant for the timid at heart. Report Kane’s Over the Thigh Boots are sassy and edgy with their detachable holster straps and gun metal hardware.
The black leather boots reach about mid-thigh and give you the option of added a studded strap that can attach from your boots to your belt. Report Kane’s boots also have a zipper detailing across the outer foot for an added bit of fiery flair.

SEE THRU STILETTOS
Christian Louboutin & Marchesa Come Together for Spring 2010
Marchesa and Christian Louboutin teamed up to present a glorious collection of see-through stilettos and peep-toe platform pumps for Spring 2010. A stunning stiletto is the perfect compliment to any outfit, but the scarlet-soled Louboutins are the natural choice when thinking about the spectacular evening gowns Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s label is known for.
For the Marchesa Spring 2010 show, Louboutin concocted two elaborate platform peep-toe pumps and three styles of sky-high see-through stilettos. Two of these see-through stilettos styles are peep-toe booties with multi-strap ankle ties. During Marchesa’s Spring 2010 presentation one of the model showcased her intricately tattooed feet through the sheer-fronted booties. A variation of this design will be featured in the ‘Sex and the City 2’ movie (along with at least three other Louboutin styles).

WRITHING WRAP AROUND SHOES
The 'Mojito' Shoe by Julian Hakes Has No Foot Plate
Why are there foot plates on shoes? As Julian Hakes’ wraparound shoes—or the ‘Mojito’—suggest, there’s really no need for them.
The wraparound shoes were the product of what the designer discovered when observing foot prints in sand. He saw that the force of movement was primarily through the ball and heel, meaning that the foot plate on shoes is essentially irrelevant. He created these interesting wraparound shoes made of carbon fibre (with rubber for soles and leather on the sides) that wrap and writhe around the foot, supporting the heel and the ball while the foot acts as a bridge between the two.
While they certainly don’t look like your average shoe, they’re interesting to look at—stylish even. I wonder if we’ll be seeing these wraparound shoes on the catwalks next season?

WINGED FOOTWEAR
Butterflies and Bow-Ties are the Embellishment of Choice for Spring 2010
Embellishments that start with the letter ‘B’, such as butterflies and bow-ties, are popular accoutrements for Spring 2010. Models at the Matthew Williamson Spring 2010 show were sporting bow-tied, peep-toe booties made of stiff silk taffeta.
The always groovy Anna Sui looked to Mariah Carey’s favorite insect for footwear inspiration. Butterflies were the obvious inspiration for Sui’s gladiator sandals and cut-out platform ankle booties. It seems that shoes with butterflies and bow-ties will be taking flight this coming Spring.

HYPER GRAFFITI HEELS
INSA Heels Releases More Brightly Decorated Foot Candy
INSA Heels is back with a unique new collection of hyper-printed, multi-colored, offbeat shoes. The shoe company, after a successful first season, has released an assortment of super funky, graffiti-style heels featuring INSA Heels’ trademark look of interesting patterns and attention-grabbing colors.
Also, if you look closely, one of the INSA Heels shoe designs features a woman’s leg as the heel and the heel is also wearing a high-heeled shoe. Fantastically quirky!

SABRETOOTH SHOES
Christian Siriano's "Fierce" Footwear Collection is Just ThaT
Famous for both winning the fourth season of Project Runway as well as his catty catchphrases and anecdotes (which include labeling people/outfits as “tranny,” “a hot mess” and “fierce”), Christian Siriano has taken the next step as a designer eager to expand his regime; he has designed an affordable shoe collection—very much en vogue—for Payless Shoes.
Christian Siriano’s fierce designs feature a distinct platform sillhouette with a heel reminiscent of a sabretooth tiger’s chompers.
